Grace Caroline Fowler 1845-1931 m. (1868) Charles Wells Blakeslee Jr 1844-1915 This is a photo of a cased ambrotype image. Searching "Fixed in Time" divulges: 1854-1863 Dots mat (peak 1856-1858) 1857-1864 f9_fanA preserver Unfortunately, I do not have the case or an image of its back, but the known parts indicate it is a "ninth" size. Let's guess 1862, which would make Grace about 17 here. Ambrotypes and cased images in general were still popular through about 1865. |
