-- Jean and Mary are second cousins (Fowler descendants), and Joan is a friend. The mothers of the three were sorority sisters in high school. -- We don't know if Joan Griffing is related to the Eb Griffing who was a friend of Doris and Ped Perry. Joan's middle name was given as Hamilton in Robert Dudley Hickerson's obituary, but George Razee suggests Howe.
