Doris Evelyn Frisbie 1901-1982 Rachel Alzina 'Ina' Strayer 1886-1976 . Alan Frisbie: The lady identified as Ina is Alzina Strayer, if I recall correctly. She and Doris were together the entire time I was growing up... In their later years they lived in San Jacinto, California, just a few blocks from my grandparents. I always knew Doris by her nickname, Dot. I still have her first edition copy of The Wizard of Oz. . [Their apartment was] in Hollywood, California. I visited there several times in the early 1960s, and remember it well. I could still find it today, if it still exists. |
