Al Beach and many other GIs were killed in Korea when Gen MacArthur foolishly antagonized China -- the worst US military defeat in the 20th century. . In 1966, Diane wrote of Chalky, "She's my old roomie at 30 Revere and CJC '44." . Black & white print from color slide taken at wedding reception. Originally printed in reverse; stored in envelope instead of mounting in album because they 'look sort of funny!' -- This image has been flipped and now is correct. |
