| Home rooms in high school were assigned alphabetically, when we arrived there as sophomores. Mr Griffin assigned us seats alphabetically, by columns. Mary Ellen got the seat in the farthest corner from the door, and I shared the other side of that biology lab bench with her for three years. We were never buddies, but I have fond memories. |
