After falling to Dan at chess, Robbie Ftorek switched to hockey and led Needham High to win the state championship in 1969 and 1970. In his senior year he scored 118 points in 23 games, 54 goals and 64 assists; in the WHA 1976-1977 he was MVP with 46 goals and 71 assists. Robbie was inducted into the US Hockey Hall of Fame in 1991 and to the initial group of players in the World Hockey Association Hall of Fame in 2010.

Diane placed this clip in 1961, but wrote 1962 or 1963 in the album. This was a 12-and-under evert, so it could not have been 1963. Dan probably spent the summer of 1962 in Maine. Robbie was a year and a half younger than Dan.
