John was born 11 Dec 1949, 1.5 years younger than me. He should have entered kindergarten in Sep 1955, approaching age 6 (and two years behind me). In Oct 1958, he would have been in third grade, approaching age 9. With his front teeth still coming in, I doubt John would be 9 approaching 10. However, in those days, it was possible that John started school approaching age 5; in that case, he would have been in fourth grade.
