Collier's Weekly, December 8, 1900. . In folklore, The Flying Dutchman refers to both an undead sea captain and his ghostship. According to legend, the captain cursed God and sailed into a mighty storm, killing all on board his vessel. As punishment, the defiant captain and his tormented crew were doomed to sail their battered ship forever. |
