| By the time he met the rest of The Eight, Robert Henri (pronounced Hen-rye) had returned from studying in Paris. The charismatic Henri soon became a successful teacher, first in Philadelphia and then in New York. He encouraged his students, including Edward Hopper and George Bellows, to paint the world they knew. |
