Pyle designed this window for the stairmay of the Colonial club at Broadway and 72nd Street, New York NY -- a short-lived club dedicated to preserving relics of the Colonial and Revolutionary eras. The window was produced by Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company. It is one of only two known window designs by Pyle. . His student, Violet Oakley, would become a prolific designer of stained-glass windows. Her designs for two Shakespearean scenes are across the gallery. |
