We missed the pinwheel marking the Ladd/Fiske property, and came down to this house to inquire. Dudley Ladd and his wife live here, and he told us the story of these houses. His great grandparents owned the cottages on the hilltops to the left and right of this picture. When his grandparents married, they asked, and were given land in the middle, to the right of this picture, to build their own house, now owned by his brother Philip Ladd -- the house on the tour.

This house, Dudley's, was built later after a similar gift of land. [As I write, it's been over a week since Dudley told us this - any mistakes or omissions are surely mine.]
