1956-10 1 Fall Foliage, Weare NH |
The Perry house was across what is now called Flanders Memorial Rd, out of sight to the right of this cow pasture. The road continues behind this stone wall and off to the left. . The field, but not the cows frequently on it, belonged to the Perry property, I believe. This is a sizeable pasture. A decade or two later, there was a raised leachfield right about here. Satellite view now shows a house behind and to the left of the camera, 127 Flanders Mem Rd. . The colors on most Kodacolor prints of this era have degraded. I have adjusted the colors as best I can, but reds and possibly browns appear as magenta. The tones are sensible when the image is converted to black and white, but that did not seem appropriate for a foliage shot. . - Pete Jr |
