Pete Sr refurbished the room soon after this picture was taken (printed Jun 1959): -- stripped the wallpaper, -- built in a bookcase where the freestanding one is here, -- built in a huge bulletin board (of some notoriety in Needham) over Pete Jr's head and to the right, and -- painted the walls and trim beige. Mom bought a corner desk with two side cabinets for each of us, plus a dresser to share - maple with oak stain. We each had our own closet in this former master bedroom. Printed Jun 1959. |
