Pete Jr: Mom told me she had an excellent piano (possibly a Steinway). She came home from school and found that her parents had replaced it with this Chickering, because it was smaller; she was heartbroken. All three of us kids attempted to play the Chickering, and Andrea has it in this location now, rickety legs and all. . The cover on the bench is of the same style as the seat covers on the grandfather and grandmother chairs that Morgan now has. All three were probably done by Gram (Doris). |
